- Brom - Hafling assassin of Brekker. Killed in custody by unknown means; bluish skin, dark veins spidering from the mouth
- Detective Molder - Detective investigating the assassination of Brekker. Taken captive after digging too deep; Cao Cao still holds a key to his apartment
- Detective Watsen - Molder’s “Partner”. Yet to be witnessed doing anything competent
- Wicket - Hafling conspiracy theorist. Believes key individuals in the city are compromised in terms of the city’s interests. Killed in custody by the same unknown means as Brom
- The Mouth - Syndicate contact known for having his ear to the ground
- Red - Syndicate leader. Unusually secluded this treaty season, breaking from prior years’ clandestine negotiating tactics
- The Professor - Syndicate tech genius. Source of prototypes for Vasquez and Liriel, and has previously overheard mention of Deepwell Holdings
- Isaac Newt - A scholar highly placed in the university, tied to the Academy. Suspected of complicity in the attack on the party and hiding a chained, dying captive behind a bookcase in his quarters. Confirmed the Illuminated are crystal vampires holding high office throughout Kraiton before Sun crushed him, still in a burning bear form. Lirial briefly raised him from death to press him further, after which he crumbled to dust
- Mara Brightwater - A contact of Vasquez’s, working within The Lamplighters’ Guild. Arranged Vasquez’s meeting with Dorin Ravenhill and offered to help the party’s heist from the inside
- Ren Duskmoor - A fairy found chained and barely conscious behind Isaac Newt’s bookcase, showing the same bluish, vein-spidered symptoms that killed Brom and Wicket. Recovered at Sun’s apartment; loose and hippyish in manner, and can recall nothing between attending one of Newt’s physics lectures and waking up bound to a blood-draining device
- Jerry - A younger student enlisted to keep watch over Isaac Newt on the party’s behalf
- Cao Cao - Sun’s butler. Held a knife to Isaac Newt’s throat to talk his guard escort back out the door, and was later injured in the shoulder by a sniper’s crystal beam fired through the apartment window. Still holds a key to Mulder’s apartment
- Dorin Ravenhill - Contact arranged through Mara Brightwater, met under cover of a meeting about a new mining operation as part of the party’s plan to breach The Lamplighters’ Guild
